nextReality.Contest – The Stage for XR!

Since 2017, the nextReality.Contest has provided a platform for the most innovative projects in Augmented, Mixed, and Virtual Reality. Every year, we invite pioneers, developers, and creatives from the entire DACH region to submit their ideas, products, and applications. An independent, interdisciplinary jury evaluates the diverse submissions and honors outstanding XR concepts.

As one of the most prestigious XR awards in the German-speaking world, the nextReality.Contest sets benchmarks for the advancement of immersive media and future technologies. For the past three years, the International Production category has also welcomed the global XR community to submit groundbreaking projects.

The contest evolves alongside the industry – in 2024, the Best Technology category was discontinued. Those with technological innovations can instead submit their projects in one of the existing categories.

This year, the XRC Award will be presented in November as part of the nextReality.festival.

nextReality.festival – The Stage for Immersive Innovation

The nominated projects are not only awarded but also given visibility! As part of the nextReality.festival on November 5 and 6 in Hamburg’s Speicherstadt, you will have the opportunity to showcase your XR applications to the public. In addition to the award ceremony, the festival features an interactive exhibition, insightful talks and panels, and diverse networking opportunities with experts from the XR industry.
