He co-authors the \u201cPlatz der Republik\u201d briefing and reports on German politics. Previously, he was a reporter in the Berlin office of POLITICO and worked for the Washington Post, SPIEGEL and Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, among others. He studied politics, sociology and economics in Berlin, London and Milan and was also trained at the ifp school of journalism in Munich. Since 2023, he has served as chairman of the Society for Immersive Media Schleswig-Holstein, advocating for the development of competencies in handling immersive media for businesses, institutions, and society.<\/p>\n

Zun\u00e4chst arbeitete er im Sparkassen Innovation Hub, dem zentralen Innovationslabor der Sparkassen. Dort untersuchte er unter anderem die Potenziale von Technologien wie Extended Reality (XR) und K\u00fcnstlicher Intelligenz, entwickelte nutzerzentrierte Prototypen und baute ein breites Partnernetzwerk mit Tech- und FinTech-Akteuren auf.<\/p>\n

Seit 2025 ist JP<\/span> Abteilungsleiter AI Applications bei der Finanz Informatik. Alexander <\/span>ist derzeit Professor an der Technischen Hochschule Ostwestfalen-Lippe am KreativInstitut. OWL und besch\u00e4ftigt sich in Forschung und Lehre mit den Themen VR\/AR\/XR, aber auch Spatial Computing, Metaverse und Themen darum herum (3D Scanning, Rendering, etc.). Zudem war er der technische Gesch\u00e4ftsf\u00fchrer der VR Nerds GmbH und ist es jetzt f\u00fcr die VR Insight GmbH. Sein Weg bis dorthin war alles andere als “klassisch”. Er studierte Lebensmittelverfahrenstechnik an der TUM Weihenstephan, wurde im Bereich Str\u00f6mungsmechanik und Rheologie promoviert und arbeitete bei der tesa SE in der Entwicklung. In dieser Zeit entdeckte er die Leidenschaft f\u00fcr Virtual Reality, in der er diese sowohl bei tesa einsetzte, aber auch zwei Start-Ups gr\u00fcndete und dabei diverse Entwicklungs- und Beratungsprojekte umsetzte. Mit der Professur kann er nun Akademie und Anwendung und das Beste aus beiden Welten vereinen.<\/span>
